Sliders
Sliders are one of the core features of the Mixlar Mix.Each slider can control audio, MIDI, system actions, or smart home devices.
You can also assign custom colors to keep your layout organized and easy to recognize.
Adding a slider source
To assign a slider:- Click the + button underneath any slider
- The Assignment Window will open
- Choose what the slider should control
- Save your selection

Inside the Assignment Window, you’ll see several tabs.Each tab represents a different type of action a slider can control.
Audio Sources
Control individual applications, game audio, browsers, chat apps, or full system volume.
MIDI Output
Send MIDI CC values to DAWs or music software.
Smart Home
(Requires setup)
Control lights, scenes, devices, and automations connected through Home Assistant.
Control lights, scenes, devices, and automations connected through Home Assistant.
System Controls
Adjust microphone levels, speaker output, screen brightness, window switching, and more.
Audio control examples
Common audio assignments include:- Game audio
- Chat apps (Discord, Zoom, Teams)
- Browser audio
- Spotify/music players
- System volume output

Tip
Select multiple audio sources to create a grouped slider.
Custom slider colors
Every slider can be assigned a custom color.- Default color follows your theme
- Click the color square next to any slider to change it
- Colors help quickly identify slider purpose
- Purple for music
- Green for chat
- Red for microphone
- Blue for game audio
- Orange for system functions
Multi-binding (controlling more than one thing)
Sliders can control more than one source at once.This allows you to build grouped audio controls or hybrid system sliders. Examples:
- Group all browser tabs + music players
- Control Discord + Zoom volume simultaneously
- Pair mic volume with noise suppression level
- Link multiple smart devices to one slider
Saving and using your slider
After choosing your assignments:- Click Save
- Move the physical slider on your Mixlar Mix
- The selected sources will adjust instantly
